OCTOBER 4 (The Smoking Gun) — A suspected teenage burglar whose shorts fell down as he fled after being confronted last night on a Florida street was later arrested after a witness was able to identify him by his boxer shorts, police reported.

As detailed in a Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office report, witness Donna Decker called 911 to report spotting a suspicious male wearing a black hoodie inside an unlocked 1991 Dodge pickup in a Port Charlotte parking lot.
When the 65-year-old Decker approached, the teenager exited the vehicle, which he claimed was owned by his grandfather. Suspicious, Decker told the minor that he would have to wait there until police responded to the scene. Instead, the teen sprinted away.
His getaway, though, was not a smooth one. The teenager’s shorts slipped down his legs, exposing his red boxer shorts to Decker (and anyone else in the vicinity). The underage suspect, the witness noted, disappeared into a nearby apartment building.
After deputies arrived, a brief canvass located Antonio Kleiss, 14, in his grandmother’s apartment. He still had on the black hoodie and tan shorts described by Decker.
To cement Kleiss’s ID, an underwear check revealed that the teen was wearing red boxers. Decker, deputies reported, “asked him to pull down his tan shorts a little and he revealed that he was wearing red boxer shorts underneath.”
A subsequent search of the apartment turned up an ignition part that was boosted from the unlocked Dodge. As a result, Kleiss, pictured above, was charged with felony burglary and attempted grand theft. After being briefly booked into the county jail, the teenager was released to the custody of a parent and placed on 21 days home detention, according to investigators.
The sheriff’s report notes that deputies confiscated Kleiss’s hoodie, shirt, shorts, and red underwear, which “were taken and placed into evidence via property receipt.”

(Daily Mail By OLIVER PICKUP) - These sickening images show raccoon dogs being skinned alive to make cheap imitation Ugg boots bought by thousands of Britons.

The original footwear is made from high-quality Australian sheepskin, taken from animals slaughtered humanely, but this footage shows the brutal treatment of creatures in China whose fur is used to make the fake boots.
The raccoon dogs are shown skinned, but still alive and moving, in the distressing scenes filmed by animal rights campaigners. Thrown on a pile, they can take up to three hours to die.
The terrified animals are beaten with sticks and are seen kicking and writhing as the men cut them open and skin them.
The skinning process is agonizingly slow and begins from the feet up. The workers are filmed standing on the animals’ heads if they struggle too much.
The video, uploaded on to YouTube by animalwelfare1 and associated with Swiss Animal Protection / EAST international, then shows the skinned animals being tossed alive on to a pile of dead and dying raccoon dogs.
The MailOnline has chosen not to include the video, as it is too shocking.
One raccoon dog - an indigenous Asian species related to foxes and dogs - is shown lifting its head to the camera briefly before falling back down on the mound of corpses, still breathing.
The shocking footage, published in the Herald Sun, has sparked outrage and has led activists to demand a ban on the raccoon dog trade.
Imitation Ugg boots have flooded the market worldwide and are widely available online and at outlets. Many are imported into Britain.
In Australia, where Uggs - which cost up to £200 - originate, there has been a ban on the import of domestic dog and cat fur since 2004, but raccoon dog fur is still brought in.
An investigation by the Humane Society International (HSI) found a pair of imitation Ugg boots to contain raccoon dog fur, even though they were labeled ‘Australian sheepskin’.
HSI director Verna Simpson said dozens of products, aside from the boots, use imported raccoon dog fur - and in other cases dog fur.
Animal hair identification expert Han Brunner confirmed the boots contained raccoon dog fur and called for the government to crack down on the trade.
Mr Brunner told news.com.au: ‘There is no doubt they have mislabeled these items and customs refuse to do anything.
‘They have been labeled Australian merino fur and that was on the inside of the boot, on the outside there were hairs from the raccoon dog.
‘I think surely that should make an impact on customs especially after the cattle slaughtering in Indonesia - dog raccoons are skinned alive and the carcass is thrown on a heap when they are still alive.’
Earlier this year footage of the treatment of Australian livestock in Indonesian abattoirs led to a temporary export ban.
Head of Ugg Australia Lena McDonald said that the use of raccoon dog fur by other brands had tarnished the entire industry.
She said there were up to 40 products using the word ‘Ugg’ but that few were made in Australia and many used overseas materials.
‘As far as I can see many of these boots are not made in Australia at all yet they have the word Australia and Ugg on them,’ she told the Herald Sun.
‘Labeling laws in Australia are a little bit grey and we have seen companies cutting off tags saying “made in China” and the Australian made tag put on it.’
An Australian customs spokeswoman said the government took the importation of illegal fur seriously but was awaiting further information before stating its position on the importation of raccoon dog fur.

(Daniel Kreps, The  Amplifier) - “I’m so scared, I’m so nervous” is not an admission you’d ever expect Kanye West to make, given the rapper’s infamous bravado.

While West might be confident when it comes to his music, he was skittish about debuting his first collection at Paris Fashion Week Saturday night to a packed house that included Vogue’s Anna Wintour, the Olsen twins, Lindsay Lohan, and established designers like Alexander Wang. And let’s just say Kanye’s designs didn’t garner the same universal acclaim as his latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
Kanye is one of music’s most polarizing figures, so it’s no surprise that his fashion line also split the critics. There was some praise for the rapper, as MTV’s James Montgomery called the line “sexy, swaggering and, of course, incredibly stylish.” The AP applauded West’s fresh spin on routine designs, “Luxed-up streetwear elements, like hooded jackets made in a mosaic of crocodile skins, gave the collection a unique voice of its own.” Most critics appeared to approve of Kanye’s use of leather (there was lots of it), but his furry backpack, heavy beading (including on some odd “sweater shoes” — see close-up), and massively plunging necklines did not win fashionistas over. (Check out all of Kanye’s designs here.)
In fact, the majority of the fashion world wasn’t all that impressed. The New York Times was especially scathing, calling the designs “confusing” among other less-than-complimentary adjectives. The Times even criticized the show’s tailor, writing, “There was one good-looking pair of color-blocked pants in blue and coral, but it was obvious that most of the clothes suffered from a poor fit.” The Wall Street Journal was even less kind, comparing Kanye trying his hand at fashion to Marc Jacobs pitching for the Yankees. “A vast quantity of luxury materials can’t blind people to a lack of creative marksmanship,” WSJ’s Christina Binkley wrote. Ouch.
We won’t know whether Kanye’s first collection, reportedly called “Yeezi,” is a hit or a miss until the Spring/Summer 2012 lines start arriving in stores, but West hoped that his designs were strong enough to end the long-standing claim that celebrities have terrible taste when it comes to making clothes. “The biggest conversation I hope I can end tonight is whole ‘celebrity designer’ thing,” West told reporters following the runway show. “That’s the biggest hurdle when you want to get amazing people to work for you.” Kanye’s designs weren’t the epic train wreck that accompanied Lohan’s leggings line, but the clothes likely weren’t good enough to stave off early elimination on Project Runway either.
While West made his grand debut in Paris, his fashion journey didn’t start on the runways of the world’s most fashionable city. For years, the MC has been obsessed with clothing. He showcased designers’ works on his Kanye Universe City blog and memorably partook in brief internships with the Gap and Fendi. West hasn’t tweeted in a while, but he used to spend his 140-character posts raving about high-end clothes, designers he admired, and the fact that he “jogs in Lanvin.” Kanye had previously released a line of shoes with Louis Vuitton and recently unveiled a series of scarves, but this was his first major foray into the fashion world. Based on the mixed reviews, he might be better off focusing on pumping out gems like My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy on an annual basis.

Roll The Dice In Atlantic City To Win A ‘Nip, Tuck And Lift’ Sweepstakes (WIDK)
Posted to WIDK by Emily Moore
Rolling the dice and playing the slots at one Atlantic City casino may have gamblers in New Jersey cashing in on an unexpected jackpot: botox, cheek implants or liposuction.

One winner of the Trump Taj Mahal Nip, Tuck and Lift Sweepstakes could walk away with $25,000 towards an array of plastic surgery procedures
(Reuters) - Players earn chances to win the lucrative makeover throughout the month of October, with a drawing for the winner held on October 29 at the casino.
“We wanted to change the face of a typical casino promotion and with this one we are literally doing it,” Trump Entertainment Resorts Senior Vice President of Marketing Kathleen McSweeney said.
“Many people have something they want to change; a nip and tuck here, a lift there, but the cost of these procedures can be quite costly,” she said in a statement.
The estimated cost of a breast augmentation is between $5,000 and $8,000 with an upper and lower eyelid tuck costing roughly $5,000, according to infoplasticsurgery.com pricing cited by the casino.
Botox injections run a couple hundred dollars while liposuction could cost between $2,500 and $10,000, according to the estimates.
The sweepstakes are open to Trump One Card holders who earn a certain number of points and then must be playing at the time of the drawing for a chance to win, the casino said.
The prize money will be awarded in cash, it said.

Outrage as NYPD Warns Women in Park Slope, Brooklyn that Short Skirts Can Get Them RAPED (WIDK)
Women in one of America’s most liberal neighborhoods have been left outraged after being told by police not to wear short skirts in case it gets them raped.

Those living in Park Slope in Brooklyn, New York, are being warned they could grant a sex attacker ‘easy access’ with their provocative clothing and that they should change.
(Daily Mail By DANIEL BATES) — Short skirts should not be worn and shorts that show too much leg have been deemed inappropriate by male cops who are patrolling the streets.
The ‘advice’ is being given out in response to at least 10 unsolved sexual attacks that have taken place in the area since March.
But in Park Slope, which is famous for being liberal and feminist, the campaign has provoked fury.
Jessica Silk, founder of neighborhood watch group Safe Slope, told the Wall St Journal that such a measure was ‘completely inappropriate’.
She said: ‘There have been reports that the women attacked were all wearing skirts.
‘Unfortunately this might be a common link between the women that were attacked but the message shouldn’t be that you shouldn’t wear a skirt.
‘The message should be that, “Here are ways that you can protect yourself”.’
One of the women who had been spoken to, who identified herself only as Lauren, told how she was three block from her home when she was stopped for wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
‘There have been reports that the women attacked were all wearing skirts. Unfortunately this might be a common link between the women that were attacked but the message shouldn’t be that you shouldn’t wear a skirt’
The 25-year-old claimed a cop asked to speak to her then did the same to two other women wearing dresses.
Lauren claimed he asked if she knew about the sex attacks and when they all replied yes he ‘pointed at my outfit and said, “Don’t you think your shorts are a little short?”
‘He pointed at their dresses and said they were showing a lot of skin,’ she said.
Lauren claimed the cop said such clothes could make the rapist think he could get ‘easy access’.
The officer then said that they were ‘exactly the kind of girl this guy is targeting’.
The sex attacks have sparked a wave of fear in Park Slope with some women calling for car service just to take them a few blocks home.
It has also promoted a campaign called Brooklyn Bike Patrol, in which volunteers offer to escort women back to their houses from the subway.
‘Officers are not telling women what not to wear - there’s a TV series that does that. They are simply pointing out that as part of the pattern involving one or more men that the assailant(s) have targeted women wearing skirts’
But Lauren said that the idea that she is in some way ‘asking for it’ is deeply offensive an just wrong.
She told the Wall St Journal: ‘I completely disagree. Where do you draw the line? I can’t wear shorts?
‘Besides the fact that I wasn’t wearing anything that was inappropriate or provocative….I don’t think that should be part of the problem. At all.’
In a statement NYPD Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne denied his officers had become the fashion police.
He said: ‘Officers are not telling women what not to wear - there’s a TV series that does that.

Harvard University Study - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Has ‘Same Effect On Men As COCAINE’ (WIDK)
(Daily Mail By MAYSA RAWI) — She’s a Victoria’s Secret model with a flawless figure and face to match. So it’s no wonder Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is most men’s dream woman. But new research has revealed the Transformers star’s power over the opposite sex is so strong, it is similar to the effects of cocaine.

It is Rosie’s baby-face features that give men that same type of rush, Men’s Health reported.
The study, conducted by Harvard University researchers, found the face of an attractive woman triggers the same reward centers in a man’s brain as the narcotic.
Test subjects were shown images of attractive females, and brain imaging scans revealed that reward circuitry fired off when they looked at comely faces.
A prominent curved forehead, eyes, nose and mouth located relatively low, large eyes, round cheeks and a small chin were among the features men found most attractive.
Rosie, whose signature pout has propelled her to fame, is aware of her special powers.
Speaking to the latest issue of Australia’s Maxim magazine, the stunning 24-year-old says: ‘They’re funny, because they change color with my mood.
‘They get really, really red when I’m angry or passionate and pale when I’m miserable or tired.
‘They have a life of their own. They get me in trouble. You know mood rings? I’ve got mood lips.’
Rosie adds: ‘The rest of my body requires a lot of upkeep, but the lips are one thing I don’t have to work on.’

Brazil Mulls Ban on Lingerie-Clad Gisele Bundchen Ad (WIDK)
(Breitbart) — Brazil’s Ministry for Women called Wednesday for the suspension of a television ad featuring lingerie-clad supermodel Gisele Bundchen, saying it reinforces the stereotype of women as sex objects.

The agency said in a statement it was asking the state council on advertising to halt the use of the ad with Bundchen, the Brazilian native who is believed to be the world’s highest paid model.
The ad “reinforces an erroneous stereotype of women as sex objects and ignores the progress made in ending sexist practices. It also represents discrimination against women,” the ministry said in a statement.
In the ads for the Brazilian intimate wear brand “Hope,” Bundchen is clad in panties, a bra and high heels, in an effort to distract her husband when she delivers bad news — about damaging the car, exceeding her credit limit, and her mother coming to live with them.
The TV ads send a message “that sensuality can melt any man” and “encourages Brazilian women to use their charms… to minimize the reactions of their husbands,” the ministry said.
The ministry managed to ban a beer ad in 2010 featuring US model Paris Hilton in suggestive poses.

Christian Farmer to Rihanna – Put Your Clothes Back On! (WIDK)
(The Telegraph) — Pop star Rihanna got her marching orders after a farmer objected to her peeling off her clothes while filming a new video on his land.

Alan Graham, 61, pulled up in his tractor and told the sexy singer to cover up and later claimed: “Her behavior was inappropriate.”
Rihanna was recording a video for We Found Love with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris in a muddy barley field near Bangor, Co Down - ahead of three sell-out shows at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena this weekend.
The filming was taking place close to a busy dual carriageway when she stripped to a bikini after removing a long checked dress. But the sight became too much for Mr Graham’s Christian beliefs and he politely asked the filming to stop.
The father of four, a member the Democratic Unionist Party on North Down Borough council, said today: “She understood where I was coming from. We shook hands and parted company on good terms.”
Mr Graham had agreed that one of his fields could be used for yesterday’s recording but was not aware what the production team had in mind for the pop superstar when they moved to an adjoining piece of land. Earlier he had used his tractor to help pull free some recording equipment which got stuck in mud. He also helped fill in a hole with some of his straw.
Mr Graham, who owns 60 acres at Clandeboye outside Bangor was just about to head for home when he saw Rihanna in her red patterned bikini.
He said today: “I realized things had got to a stage which was not acceptable to me, things became inappropriate and I asked the film crew to stop.
“I never heard of Rihanna until someone called me requesting the use of my land. I knew on Monday who she was. Someone explained she was as big as it gets as far as pop stars were concerned. I am a bit illiterate about those issues.
“If someone wants to borrow my field and things become inappropriate, then I say: ‘Enough is enough. You are not entitled to do that’.
“There was no firm arrangement about borrowing the field. Everybody was done on an ad hoc basis. My expectations were not made clear to him (the man who requested use of the field), and everything that was going to take place was not made clear to me. To be fair to the people involved in asking for the field, I don’t think they were aware either of what would take place.
“There was no agreement as such beforehand. I have not received any payment at this moment in time and I don’t know if I will be paid. I don’t want to say what I said to Rihanna or what she said to me. We had a conversation. We shook hands and parted company on good terms.”
Meanwhile, as the singer continued filming in Belfast today, the Rihanna-gate affair was even raised at the Northern Ireland Assembly where Ulster Unionist Mike Nesbitt launched a tongue-in-cheek attack on First Minister Peter Robinson, the leader of Mr Graham’s political party.
Mr Robinson was briefing Assembly members on a recent trade mission to the United States where he and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness asked the entertainment industry to base projects in Northern Ireland.
But his Ulster Unionist rival asked if potential investors might be deterred given that the pop star had been forced from a field for nothing more than “wearing red, white and blue”.
Mr Robinson said that as he understood it “there was no problem with the colours involved”.
He asked if Mr Nesbitt, an MLA for Strangford, Co Down, might be able to make a field on his own land available to the singer.
