(WIDK By Staff Writer EMILY MOORE) — Over the Holiday weekend, Bree Boyce, native of France, was crowned Miss South Carolina.

Though the competition was a breeze for Bree, who stole the audience with her rendition of “Tu Tu Piccola Iddio,” and swept the swimsuit competition, the preparation was grueling.
And now, Bree’s big secret is out, and she is shouting it from the roof tops.

After drastic lifestyle changes, Bree even championed in the swim suit portion —something the beauty was particularly proud of.
The 22-year-old will now go on to compete for the Miss  America title in Las Vegas in January. But the beauty will not stop there.
Bree has big plans for herself in the mean time, and has kicked off a campaign via Facebook to encourage “Eating Healthy and Fighting Obesity”.
Bree now speaks out at conferences, schools and various charities  sharing her journey from 230 pounds through “good eating habits,  exercise, and believing in yourself.”
